Mount Palomar Winery Wedding

We are so thrilled to see our Mount Palomar Winery Wedding on Wedding Chicks! Incase you missed it, here is the full post….

romantic vineyard wedding kiss
When you are meant to be with someone the love that surrounds you is so tangible it can actually be felt by those around you. No, not in the gross get a room kind of way, but in that warm and fuzzy tale as old as time kind of way. That’s right, we just made a Beauty and the Beast reference, and why not when even Disney Fairytales can hardly compete with the love of this couple? I mean when the two of them unknowingly write practically the same wedding vows for each other and their chemistry is so potent that it is affecting this blogger as she looks at their photos. This love is one for the books!

STARTING THE DAY OFF RIGHT

From Whiskers and Willow Photography: The day began at a gorgeous home in Temecula where Kiah and all her ladies were relaxing as they prepared for the big day ahead. Jemhair styled all the bridesmaids’ hair while Kiah was pampered by her co-maid of honor and MUAH Victoria Toda. Kiah’s mother Sally helped Kiah into her gorgeous classic lace form-fitting gown and soon after, as Kiah recorded her vows for videographer Audrey Alba Films, there was not a dry eye in sight! Surrounded by all the special ladies in her life, Kiah truly had a lovely morning getting ready. bridesmaids in long dresses of assorted pink colors

As we have gotten to know Kiah and Derrick from photographing their engagement to being around them their entire wedding day, we have seen how much these two are meant to be. During their vows, Kiah and Derrick found that they had unknowingly written almost exactly the same things to each other. They are just amazingly in-tune with each other. The way Derrick looks at Kiah, the way that they are kind yet playful to each other – it was so obvious how this is a lasting love. The reaction from Kiah and Derrick’s family and friends during their ceremony, their toasts, and the entire night showed how truly loved they are. There were lots of laughter, tears, and heartfelt moments that made us feel so incredibly grateful to have been a part of such a special day for these two kind-hearted individuals.bride in lovely dress from Allure Bridals

WISDOM & ADVICE FROM THE COUPLE

From the Bride: Don’t sweat the small stuff and enjoy the process.  Be true to yourself and your and your fiancé’s personal style.  On your wedding day, either have a day-of coordinator or delegate all the important tasks to your family and friends.  You want to thoroughly enjoy your special day and not worry about all the moving parts.  We are so thankful for our amazing vendors, bridal party, friends, and family who made the day stress free for my fiancé and me.

From the Groom: If or when ‘disaster’ strikes, accept things for what they are and make the best of whatever situation you find yourself in.  Enjoy the moment!

One of our goals regarding the wedding budget was not to be in debt.  We accomplished it by keeping a close watch on our expenses, setting a realistic budget (and adjusting it along the way as we learned more about having a destination wedding), and religiously tracking our spending.  It felt great to have the wedding we wanted and not feel any financial remorse afterwards.

A GARDEN PARTY TO REMEMBER

From Whiskers and Willow Photography: The reception was an elegant garden party with market lights, blush peonies and roses, chiavari chairs, and laser cut placecards. There was a beautiful lounge space with furniture from Jake Duke Studios and a dessert station with desserts including a semi-naked cutting cake from The Sugar Divaz. Wood signage by calligrapher Twinkle and Toast complimented Posh Peony‘s arrangements, which completed the garden atmosphere. but first dessert wedding sign

Blush and Gold Mission Inn Wedding in Ceremony Magazine

We are beyond excited to share that our second wedding for the amazing Goss family is featured in the Los Angeles edition of Ceremony Magazine! This Blush and Gold Mission Inn Wedding is also featured on the Ceremony Magazine blog and can be seen here.

Love Story:
Brittany told Giovanni that if she could be proposed to anywhere, it would be in Paris in front of the Eiffel tower. For the proposal, Giovanni recreated Paris at a venue with all their family and friends. He included murals, flower shops, and pastry shops to really make it feel like Paris in the United States. Giovanni planned it all, making it such a meaningful moment for Brittany.

Love Note:
Brittany and Giovanni’s fondest wedding moment was walking into their reception as husband and wife and being able to see all the guests and how beautiful everything looked.

Alice in Wonderland Themed Wedding

We had the honor of assisting in planning this fun Alice in Wonderland themed wedding for Eileen and Bogdan! We loved how they incorporated elements from the movie without going over board. Our favorite detail was the centerpieces that were modeled after “painting the roses red” Flowers by Cina did an amazing job pulling that off perfectly!

We’re all madly in love here with this Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass themed wedding.

About the Waterfront Hilton:

Located on the coastline of Southern California, Huntington Beach gives every spot at the Waterfront Beach Resort a striking ocean view. Dig your toes in the sand while looking into the eyes of your other half and hear the waves crashing around you during the ceremony. The Waterfront Resort is committed to making each moment you have together unforgettable, like sharing the first kiss of your marriage in front of a picturesque sunset fading behind the nearby pier. Whether it’s a traditional ceremony or an exotic tropical theme, the staff is committed to customize every space so there are no unexpected surprises. We are so excited to see the fully remodeled hotel June 2017!

Our Mission Inn Wedding Featured in Ceremony Magazine

We are so thrilled to share that our wedding for Melody and Abraham at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa is currently featured in the Orange County Edition of Ceremony Magazine (on news stands now). Their gorgeous ceremony was held in the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel and their reception had a classic style that was flawless in the Grand Parisian Ballroom as you can see below.  Shawn from Ambiance Designs did a stunning job on their floral designs!

This couple has a love for horses; Abraham owns race horses and Melody shows them so it was important to them to add an element of that to reflect their personalities. They decided to name their tables after the horses and each table had a photo of the horse that also served as their table numbers. Another fun fact is that Melody and Abraham love 80’s music so they chose the band Grilled Cheese Soundwich from Undercover Live and they rocked it! They were such a fun couple to work with and we were honored to be a part of their special day!

About Mission Inn Hotel and Spa:

As a National Historic Landmark and member of the prestigious Historic Hotels of America, The Mission Inn Hotel & Spa evokes the romance and enchantment of a European castle with a design conceived by some of California’s most famous architects. Yet following more than a century of meticulous restorations and enhancements, one of the country’s most historic hotels now stands among its most up-to-date buildings.

The majestic visuals remain in the form of grand archways, flying buttresses, lofty domes and towers, but old-world décor has given way to modern sophistication – with rooms, suites and event venues showcasing the style and comfort that today’s travelers expect. The hotel that delivered a new era of grace and refinement to Riverside continues to do so to this day.

A Halloween Wedding at The Mission Inn Hotel and Spa

To kick off October we decided to share this gorgeous wedding for Lindsay and Justin that took place last Halloween at the Mission Inn Hotel and Spa. Our couple designed every flawless detail of their Halloween themed wedding down to the low lying fog that filled the chapel upon Lindsay’s entrance to meet her groom down the aisle.

The guests were guided through the ceremony by the fate of the exquisitely designed tarot card programs and into the reception staged in a Spanish Art Gallery. As the guests took their handcrafted potions to find their seats, the newlyweds grand entrance was delivered by clips from the legendary ghost host of Disney’s Haunted Mansion and the classic Dracula theme of Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.

The bride and groom cut the anatomical bleeding heart cake together in traditional fashion and danced like Bowie to black & white flickering Halloween cartoons from the 1920’s. The happy couple infected all with their maniacal love, their luscious laughter, and the core essence of who they are which shone through everything that brought their big day together. Under the warm glow of candlelit apothecary bottles, oversized glass bell jars and plenty of black calla lilies they left all their guests, and us, wishing for more. It was so much fun to see all of the detail come together and to be a part of this wedding!

We are proud to say that this wedding was featured on The Knot.com and on Pretty and Inked Magazine!
